In our design matrix, we chose to emphasize a few key features of the immersion cooker that we thought would be crucial to the people of Nepal. Due to the major health risks that current cooking methods pose, we made the health factor of the cooking methods the most weighted aspect in terms of determining the best cooking method. We chose to make the environmental impact the least weighted because for many poor people in impoverished areas, the ability to cook and take care of yourself far outweighs the damage you might be doing to the environment.

Overall, we found solar cooking to be the best option for the people of Nepal with the criteria we chose for it. The solar cooker's strengths show in its ease of use, environmental impact, cost to use, and health factor. This is due to its simple design and lack of health risks such as smoke. The only weaknesses of the solar cooker are the high cost to build and difficulty to manufacture locally due to the complex parts such as solar panel and wiring.
