After 5 long hours of direct sun exposure, we realized the rice was not going to get cooked all the way as we expected.

Our first time cooking was exciting but long. The water in the pot got to almost boiling temperature, however, we did not insulate the pot at all, and eventually the thermal energy was lost rapidly

We expect this failure is due to no insulation. We believe that if we were to insulate the pot, there would be better heat retention.

However, to our dismay, the cooker stopped working around 1:00pm, three hours after we began cooking. The eggs did not cook fully, and our pot stopped getting hot!

Our second attempt to cooking was a short-lived one. We began cooking around 10:00 am, the sides of the pot were super hot as the insulation was permitting better heat conductivity. The egg began to cook for a couple hours.
